NeuroRehab SLP PLLC Patient Rights Policy

NeuroRehab SLP PLLC upholds the following patient rights regardless of disability, age, genetic information, race, color, national origin, citizenship status, cultural, economic, educational or religious background, veteran status, sex, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, pregnancy, or marital status. All patient rights also apply to the Power of Attorney or Legal Guardian when applicable. All patients receive a copy of their patient rights upon admission.


You have the right to:


  • Be treated and cared for with dignity and respect;
  • Be protected from abuse and neglect; 
  • Access protective services;
  • Have confidentiality, privacy security, spiritual care, and not restricted from communication with others;
  • Be informed and agree to your care so that you may give informed consent;
  • Be involved in all aspects of your care including refusing care and treatment, and resolving problems with care decisions; 
  • Have family input in care decisions, in compliance with existing legal directives of the patient or existing court-issued legal orders;
  • Be informed of any unanticipated outcomes;
  • Complain about their care and treatment without fear of retribution or denial of care;
  • Have timely complaint resolution.

In addition to the State of Washington Laws, NeuroRehab SLP PLLC upholds the Washington State Board of Hearing and Speech rules and regulations.


The mandate of the Board of Hearing and Speech is to protect the public's health and safety and to promote the welfare of the state by regulating the competency and quality of professional healthcare providers under its jurisdiction. The board accomplishes this through a variety of activities working with the Department of Health, Health Systems Quality Assurance division.
